Nick Saban, the Alabama head coach, is a big fan of Deion Sanders. The seven-time National Championship winning coach, Nick Saban, spoke highly on Wednesday of Coach Prime and revealed that he respects Sanders both as a person and coach. Saban stated that he has a great deal of respect for Deion. “First of all, he is a wonderful person and has done an excellent job marketing the program in order to generate a lot national interest. Saban credits the Colorado Buffaloes’ 3-0 start to the season to their hard work and Sander’s coaching. All of those things are signs to me that he is a good coach. “
The Crimson Tide’s 16-year coach acknowledged that he had not been able catch all of Colorado action this year, but he was able watch a bit of Colorado State’s matchup last weekend.
Saban said he was impressed with what the Buffs did on the field but was aware of the potential of a team led by “Prime Time”.
Saban stated that “he’s always had success whether it be Jackson State, High School or now Colorado.” His teams have always had a good coach. Sanders echoed his Aflac colleague’s statements during his recent “60 Minutes” interview. Sanders, the Super Bowl champion, praised Saban for his work and said that he was grateful to have been able to learn and work with him.
