Former President Trump has raised $7.1 million since he was booked at the Fulton County jail on Thursday evening, where he became the first U.S. president to have his mug shot taken, his campaign confirmed to The Hill on Saturday.

Trump, who is the frontrunner in the 2024 Republican primary race, raised $4.18 million on Friday alone, marking the highest-grossing day of his entire campaign, a spokesperson said. Politico first reported the former president’s fundraising haul.

The Campaign has raised nearly $20 million over the last three week, amid two separate charges regarding the former president’s attempts to stay in power following the 2020 election. Fulton County was the first to require a mug shot, even though Trump has been indicted three other times this year. Trump has fundraised off the mug shot, urging supporters to donate and selling T-shirts, mugs, koozies and bumper stickers with the photo and the phrase “Never surrender.” The former president also made his long-awaited return to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to post the mug shot and a link to his campaign website.

He was banned from the social media platform after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, but had his account reinstated after billionaire Elon Musk bought the site for $44 billion last fall.
